Hello and happy Friday.
Well, we made it. College drop-off was a success and less teary than I expected. At least for me and Smudge. Her daddy on the other hand…let’s just say he is a supreme softie. Move-in to the dorm went smoothly, her roommates are so cute and outgoing, and she’s liking her classes! It’s all I could ask for. I’m so excited for her and this next chapter. In fact, I’m excited for all of us because now we are empty nesters so there’s gonna be a whole lot more “us” and “me” time. Parrrrtae! haha
Now that we’re back home as a grand family of two (plus our pooch) I have fall fever. I am 100% ready to walk the dog in this glorious weather, hunt out fall leaves, declutter the house, watch the new season of Survivor and everything football, and get into some serious comfort food cooking. As I mentioned last week, soup is at the center of our dinner routine but I still have loads of cherry tomatoes in the garden to play with. Tomatoes, pasta…I’m sensing a plan. And this pasta with garlicky tomatoes recipe that straddles summer and fall is part of it!
But first, take a gander at this week’s Friday Faves.
